[RELEASE] Digimon Xros Wars II – 12 (66) H264 & XViD
The twelfth episode of Digimon Xros Wars: The Boy Hunters Who Leap Through Time!
A short explanation on this episode:
• Digimen means “Digi-noodles” and a pun on Digimon.
• Real ramen is made from scratch, from everything in the soup to the noodles. Real ramen is defined by the kind of noodles it has (there are different varieties based on what sort of flour it’s made from, and the chewiness of the noodle) and the soup it’s in. Instant ramen is not real ramen.
Noodles are made by pounding the noodle dough until it reaches a certain thickness/hardiness, before they are cut into equal lengths. The soup is made using dashi (fish soup stock) as the base. Dashi is just a fancy word for the water that’s strained out after it’s been boiled with a number of ingredients. In this episode, the dashi was made with dried bonito flakes (katsuobushi), smoked mackerel (sababushi), dried sardines (niboshi), kelp (kombu), dried shrimp (hoshiebi), scallops (kaibashira), and the addition of hoshi-shiitake dashi (the water that dried shiitake mushroom is soaked in overnight).

Delays this week…
Onkei’s keyboard broke, so she won’t be able to translate this week’s episode (ep 12) until she gets a replacement in a few days. I also had some internet troubles getting the raw this week. Gotta love technology. Next week’s (ep 13) will also be delayed because I’m going to visit my family for Christmas and won’t be able to access my (desktop) computer to encode. Anyway, Hunters is supposed to be on a break for New Year (Jan 1), so there won’t be any new episodes (ep 14, Jan 8 ) for awhile after that. Happy Holidays everyone!

Direct Downloads
What file service would you guys prefer me to use for direct downloads? I’ve been using Megaupload and Mediafire simply because I’ve used those in the past. Let me know which service is preferable for you guys. If there’s enough of a demand for one over the others, I’ll consider switching.

Edit by onkeikun: I’d like to point out that we can only upload a maximum file of 200mb on a Mediafire free account. Since our mkv files go above that size, we’ll split them into two separate parts with HJSplit (link), which you can use to rejoin. Currently, nez is considering multiupload.
